Introduction of nanoparticles into the traditional fibre-reinforced composites is starting to emerge from the lab. The timing is right then that we can get into either modelling or experimenting (or both) on Nano-Composites for high performance applications. In this area we can look at includes but not limited to:

(i) Prediction of the physical properties of polymeric nanocomposites

(ii) Static and dynamic analyses of composite structures reinforced by nanotube particles by theory and experimental means

(iii)Mechanical damping/vibration characteristics

(iv) Fabrication and manufacture of experiment macroscale specimens

(v)Impact energy absorption characteristics and damage process of polymer Nanocomposite structures (sandwich or laminated single skin composite)
