OLED

OLED consists of layers functional organic semiconductors sandwiched between two electrodes. Electronic charges ( electrons from the cathode and hole from the anode) are injected into the organic semiconductors and recombined in a radiative process, which generates photons (light). The color of the emitted light is controlled by chemical structure of organic semiconductors used and as well the device architecture.

Applications

The  technology is built on a production process that permits economic, high volume production of OLED at a price point that can be attractive for application in backlighting, decorative package, advertising, toy, and alpha-numeric display.
