Photodetectors are an important component of many industrial products and applications. Due to the unique properties of the company's printed semiconductor based sensors, e.g. large, flexible, and ultrathin sensing area, application-specific spectral sensitivity tunable within a wide range, and integrated OLED light sources, company's optoelectronic sensor capabilities cover a broad array of industrial applications, ranging from light switches and industrial light curtains to barcode scanners, optical switch panels, optical measuring instruments, calorimeters, photometers, range detection, and process control.

The company has identified a huge industrial application area for its printed optoelectronic sensor technology.

Printed Photodiode Line-Arrays and 2D-Arrays

The company has already realized prototypes of the world's largest printed photodiode lines and arrays. Target applications include light curtains, large area X-ray scanners for luggage inspection, position detection, and industrial measurement systems.

The company is currently exploring the technical feasibility of these new industrial sensor devices in other application areas, and is evaluating possible partnerships and business models for an industrial sensor related subsidiary.
