The company is a nanotechnology materials company specializing in applications in the infrared. These include thermal imaging, gas analysis, and fibre-optic applications in the 1-10 micron bands.

The company has developed and patented a unique nanotechnology process utilizing colloidal Quantum Dots to create a range of materials with very specific properties in these application areas. Integrating these properties enables very accurate tailoring of absorption and emission spectra to the applications. This can for example, provide a broadband but flat optical gain for fibreoptic amplifiers, enabling utilization of a much broader spectrum. In gas detection it enables accurate matching of luminescence to analyte species’ IR absorption, giving precise detection of target gases.
