Self-assembled polymer monolayer modelling and mechanics foams (including food foams), bubbles, emulsion, microemulsions, gels  controlled release/chelation nanoparticles (drugs, nutrients, antioxidants, pigments, bioactives);

Surface modification chemistry : plastics, clothing, diagnostic apparatus, food dispersions;

Drug delivery systems;

Functional barrier materials/packaging: Permeable polymeric systems/using in situ polymerisation/aggregation – food grade polymer blends;

The release of freshness compounds from the pack material over time: Nano-encapsulation using polymers/lipids/surfactants and hydrophobe binders such as x-cyclodextrins. Can be used in solution or bubble surface captivation in CO2 systems;

The stripping out of degradation compounds over time: Selective sequestration, variable chemistry but use of technology as above complexation in solution using hydrophilic/ hydrophobic polymer “colloidal aggregates”; these are invisible to eye*;

Barrier to UV/ light: Nanoparticle dispersions in shaped polymer. UV quenchers. UV dispersers and scattering particulates/polymers;

Anti-bacterial: Nanoencapsulation for controlled/sustained release (see technology suggested in * above);

Increased freshness and taste: Sequential release/sequestration of agent.
