The company develops enabling technologies for drug discovery, toxicity testing and research. The company has developed a range of novel applications based on safe, non-toxic, naturally occurring proteins including luciferases from marine organisms (jellyfish) and fluorescent proteins from corals. 

The company has three product ranges that include:

1. A product range of whole organism HTS assays based on filamentous fungi that are engineered to emit light under test conditions.

2. A product range of highly reliable and innovative, luminescence and fluorescence standards. These standards can be used to calibrate light measuring equipment such as luminometers, fluorometers and bioimaging systems.

3. A product range: novel, high quality marine luciferases, luciferins and GFPs. The luciferases and photoproteins use coelenterazine and its derivatives as substrate and are sodium dependent. These proteins do not require high energy molecules such as ATP, simplifying their use in reporter applications.
