Company Germany

Currently developing a new sequencing technology based on massively parallel single molecule analysis.

Inspired by the idea of analysing complete genomes within hours, the founders of the company invented a technology that enables massively parallel sequencing by synthesis. After remarkable technological advances in nucleotide-design and surface chemistry, the company was founded in 2002 to enable a commercially oriented development of this technology. The Technology comprises sequencing by synthesis reactions conducted in a cyclic manner and monitoring incorporation events of labelled nucleotides on the immobilized nucleic acids with resolution of each single molecule.

Currently, the main goal is the development of applications with the focus on the (re)sequencing of whole genomes of different species.
