The company develops and commercializes innovative fluorescent markers for use in basic life science research, pharmaceutical research, diagnostics and histology. Our technology is based on our proprietary composition-tunable nanocrystals (quantum dots).

There are numerous non-biological uses of our nanocrystal technology including optoelectronic and security applications.

We have developed an improved carboxy-functional coating for our nanoparticles. Our particles remain stable in physiological buffers for long periods of time. They are stable in distilled water indefinitely. At physiological pH they can be suspended in solutions with an ionic strength equivalent of 100 mM without aggregation. They will not aggregate during our recommended conjugation procedure for proteins.

These fluorescent nanoparticles can be routinely conjugated to a variety of biological molecules without specialized equipment or training.
