The company provides porous drug-delivery coatings that enable to overcome all known industry issues of drug-delivery coatings for drug-eluting stents. The solutions are based both on degradable or non-degradable materials that take advantage of the unique properties of bio-inert inorganic carbon-based nano-composite coatings:

- biocompatibility: carbon is the most bio-inert material known

- versatile drug-loading capacity: the carbon-composites can free of chemical interaction be combined with any drug class

- tailoring of pharmako-kinetics: the release of drugs is adjustable by tailoring pore-sizes and surface properties of the coatings
tuning of surface properties: surface tension can be adjusted to the target drug to optimize drug-uptake into the porous materials

- ease-of-manufacturing: the coatings allow to separate the manufacturing process of the coating itself and the drug-loading process

- new stent materials:  the coatings allow realizing ultra-elastic porous coatings, e.g. for peripheral or coronary stents made of superelastic materials or hard materials like CoCr

- orthopaedic implant coatings: the coatings can be tailored to ultra-hard porous coatings for surgical and orthopedic implants like screws, plates or joint implants.
