Company Israel

Drug delivery company that is developing marine extracted nano injectors formulated with therapeutic compounds. The outcome is a topical formulation, penetrating the skin within a fraction of a second, and actively delivering the drug into the epidermis skin layer.

The company's drug delivery system leverages a sophisticated injection system developed by sea life during 700 million years. The natural substance is extracted from aquatic invertebrates. The outcome is microcapsules containing each a coiled microscopic nano-tube.

Upon activation, the nano-tube unfolds and penetrates the skin to deliver the drug efficiently within a fraction of a second.

During the activation process a high pressure of 200 atmospheres is developed, within the microcapsule, resulting in an unfolding and evaginating of the long thin nano-tube out of the microcapsule at an extremely high speed. The nano-tube penetrates the skin at an acceleration of 40,000 g. The capsules can be loaded with the designated drug nevertheless, during the penetration process, the drug solution medium surrounding the microcapsule is pumped into, and through the nano-tube, into the skin. With these physical characteristics the drug is delivered immediately into its target.

Mode of operation

A. The microcapsule at the inactive state.

B. High internal pressure of 200 atmospheres is built in the microcapsule.

C. With 40,000 x g of acceleration, the shaft penetrates the skin.

D. A nano-tube follows the shaft and delivers the drug into the epidermis/dermis.

The product can be formulated in various vehicle compounds including suspension, lotion, crème or stick.

The product can also be activated after attaching to an adhesive patch.
