The company develops, manufactures, and markets innovative yet practical devices based on its unique combination of nanotechnology, microfabrication, and advanced materials science capabilities. 

Our products include advanced chemical sensors, nanoporous ceramic membranes, functional nanocomposites, and ceramic MEMS devices.  Continuing research, development and engineering seeks to enhance existing product lines with new designs that broaden the already  high value to our customers. 

Several new products in late stages of development include catalytic combustible gas microsensors and a new product line of gas separation membranes.  The company  provides these products to customers in diverse businesses, such as the chemical industry, building environmental management, bio-analysis, water processing, homeland security, military, portable power, personnel safety and the automotive industry.

The company 's products are based on nano- and microstructured materials and advanced methods for their integration into functional devices. We offer two main product groups. The first is a broad group of chemical sensors and related devices.

The company 's chemical sensors are bridging the gap between the low cost of traditional solid-state sensors and the performance of liquid electrolyte electrochemical sensors.

A second diverse group of products originates from a unique nano/microfabrication technology based on self-organized nanoporous ceramic. Controllable nanoscale morphology, micromachinability, chemical and mechanical properties of this material enable multiple opportunities for developing advanced components and devices.

The company 's product development efforts are based on advanced materials engineering, nanotechnology and microfabrication. Many of these efforts use a unique technology platform, which affords multiscale engineering and device integration of advanced materials. This platform involves the synergy of two core capabilities, templated nanofabrication and micromachining, both based on nanostructured anodic aluminum oxide. Templated nanofabrication is extensively used to enable desired materials properties and architecture.

Flexible Ceramic MEMS processing provides a convenient route for device integration. This technology platform, along with the more conventional approaches for nanomaterials synthesis and device fabrication, combined with our extensive expertise in the performance and design of chemical sensors, is being successfully utilized to develop and produce a number of practical products with advanced performance.
