Company UK

This company have developed a unique capability to view and size nano-scale particles in liquids, with little preparation and at low cost.

The technique is based on laser light scattering microscopy. The instrument can visualise and dynamically size populations of particles in a liquid on an individual basis down to a particle size of approx 10nm. We directly track the Brownian motion of each and every particle separately but simultaneously using a CCD camera and from which we can rapidly obtain a high resolution plot of the particle size distribution profile (and changes therein in time).

The company's founder has many years experience in surface plasmon resonance and photon correlation spectroscopy.  Ours is one of several metrology solutions under serious scrutiny with the UK's National Physical Laboratory, and we have a growing base of users worldwide (BASF, BP, ICI, Roche, Shell, 3M corp, GSK, BP & Unilever).
