The Research group has a specialized group of scientists working in the area of polymer clay nanocomposites and polymer nanocomposites of agricultural nature. 

We have technology in the patenting stage for the plastic packaging.  We have expended effort to investigate the incorporation of nanoclays into packaging film for barrier enhancement and strength improvement and are currently investigating hydrophilic surface coatings and additives for such film.

In suppott of these endeavours, we have the services of the following technical units:
