Company Germany

Specialize in the production of porous, nanoscopic materials. Develops efficient synthesis routes to novel NanoMaterials and cooperates with its customers in the optimization of these materials for specific applications. Due to their tailored inherent physical and chemical properties these nanostructured materials can be used in a wide variety of applications, ranging from catalysis (automotive emissions, petrochemicals synthesis, carbon nanotube production), through the encapsulation of dyes and pharmaceuticals, to functionalized thin films for microelectronics and sensor devices, adsorbers or heat exchangers.
Concerning the application of perfume encapsulation, the company brings a wealth of experience in encapsulation know-how, having previously carried out projects on the encapsulation (and also anchoring/immobilization) of dye molecules, pharmaceuticals, enzymes, and complex metallo-organic molecules (homogeneous catalysts).

Furthermore, the companies portfolio of nanocrystalline (and also classical microcrystalline) zeolites and mesoporous materials, are perfectly suitable for host materials for such an application. These materials are available in powder form or stable suspensions (in water / alcohol), or can be laid down as thin films or coatings on a host of substrates (ceramics, glass, metal, plastics). The structure and hence the pore sizes and volumes of these materials can be altered according to the size of the "guest" molecule. The surface chemistry can also be trimmed to produce a tailor-made "host" with controlled release capabilities.
