The use of nanoparticles to introduce SMART properties to plastic materials and products. One such project is looking to introduce carbon nanotubes into inherently conducting polymers (ICPs) for EMI and ESD applications.  The research is also proving to be applicable for the production of fuel cells.  We will also be commencing research in the next few months, working with a number of other organisations, on the surface modification of nano-particles to introduce SMART properties into materials for the automotive sector.
