Company India

Developing a novel continuous synthesis method called which promises to supply SWNT & MWNT at high production rate at ultra low cost.

The method’s versatility allows stringent control over catalyst nanoparticles’ size and composition which finally have influence on nanotube properties.

The method uses a high temperature reactor, in which specialty catalyst nanoparticles are generated in a co flow of hydrocarbons by feed of varied range and composition of catalyst precursor. These specialty nanoparticles act as support as well as catalyst for nanotube growth.

Combination of chemical reactions insures simultaneous removal of unwanted species inside reactor itself reducing add on cost of purification. Product is collected through a product collector continuously outside the reactor. High process efficiency, production rate and use of inexpensive raw materials insure ultra low production cost.

The company is already running a successful pilot plant based on the method. In house developed simulation and optimization model has been used to fine tune the process parameters. This also allows the company to synthesize specific user defined grades of Carbon nanotubes.
