Developing innovative laser technologies to create markings inside glass components or glass products. The coloured marking consists of nanoellipsoids, extremely small metal particles, generated by a focused laser beam.

Applications include simple markings of planar glass parts or objects as well as decorative designs, and resolutions range from a basic 72 dpi to high-quality 600 dpi.

The advantages of this technology include the mechanical, chemical and temperature stability of the marked parts, as well as the fact that they are unaffected by UV light and counterfeit-proof.

Future R&D will focus on developing technologies to alter the optical properties of glass, through forming, altering and positioning nanoellipsoids in one, two, and even three dimensional zones within the glass object.
