The company develops and manufactures high-volume nanoparticle deposition systems that enable tile, glass and steel manufacturers to add value to their products. They offer the following solutions: • Product 1 enables tiles, glass and steel to be self-cleaning and/or anti-bacterial with minimal disruption to existing production lines. This also helps surfaces shed moisture • Product 2 opens up a new world of colorful design opportunities in glass tableware and packaging which, until now, have been completely impractical for high-volume applications. • Product 3 enables non-experts to make a variety of nanopowders at very affordable prices for R&D all the way up to production scale. At the core of the company’s products and support services is a novel hot aerosol technique for depositing coatings of nano-scale particles on glass or ceramic surfaces. These provide significant performance benefits: 1. Self-Cleaning: an invisible, bonded layer of nano-particles enables any indoor or outdoor glass inorganic surface (tile, glass, steel) to indefinitely repel accumulations of any organic materials, such as molds or bacteria. 2. Repelling Moisture: the hydrophilic characteristics of certain nanoparticles can be deployed to eradicate the formation of droplets on surfaces. 3. Coloring: by applying nanoparticles at working temperatures, glass surfaces can be colored without the need for separate (and expensive) vats of colored glass. Also, glass itself can be created in the aerosol if desired. In addition to cost savings, the technology provides unique possibilities for glass design. The company also works on advanced projects, developing new applications for its core technology.
