Principle
The easy-to-clean effect arises through the chemical reaction of the solution with the glass surface. In this case, functional nanoparticles are linked into a silicon dioxide layer. This layer in turn is created on the glass surface, through transverse cross-linking, in three-dimensional networks. After curing there results a nanostructure, a few atomic layers thick, which gives the glass the required properties.

Properties of the coating

  • Long-term effect (approx. 10 years) in case of building glazing
  • Water repellant (hydrophobic) and Dirt repellent (oleo phobic).
  • UV-resistant
  • Temperature-resistant to approx. 250°C constant loading
  • Optically neutral (colorless, transparent)
  • High level acid and caustic solution resistance
  • High level of scratch and abrasion resistance
  • Weather and corrosion resistance
  • Easy application through spray, immersion etc.
  • Curing at room temperature
  • Photo catalytically self-cleaning
  • Ecologically beneficial and Biologically safe

Advantages in application

Protection against:

  • Dirt
  • Calcium, grease, algae
  • Corrosion and spots
  • Low level of dirt accumulation
  • Lower maintenance costs
  • Clean general impression
  • Increased weather resistance
  • Cleaning is compatible with the environment, since almost no detergents are required any longer
  • Preservation of value

Areas of application

  • Glass frontage
  • Glass roofs
  • Window panels/glass doors
  • Frosted glass & decorative glass
  • Glass shower cabins
  • All exterior glasses
