Works in a number of relevant areas including carbon and inorganic (non-carbon) nanotubes reinforcement of polymers, including films, fibres and foams. His group has shown improvements in high temperature polymers such as PEEK, including increases in strength, stiffness and wear resistance. They are producing electrically conductive epoxies at 0.0015 wt% nanotubes and are looking at the production of conducting polymer fibres.
