This compant offers two families of microroreactor system:

1. A new and exciting development in flow chemistry.  Consisting of a number of separate modules which can be connected together to make specialised systems for conducting different flow chemistry experiments.

The systems are designed to be straight-forward to use and quick to arrange into a number of configurations.  The modules are all manually operated making the system easy to control whilst being highly cost effective.

An entry level set-up designed to give users an introduction to flow chemistry and combines the performance of the pumps with a 4ml tube reactor (small enough for reaction development but large enough for preparative experiments).  The system contains a pressure controller, to allow operation above solvent boiling points, and a collection tool to collect different fractions of products as reaction conditions change.

Another system combines a range of reactors (micro reactors, tube reactors and solid-phase columns) with sample addition and collection.  This system provides the ideal environment for looking at scale-up within flow reactors and enables initial development with small scale reactors with preparative reaction conducted on larger scale.  The inclusion of solid phase columns allows solid supported reagents, scavengers and catalysts to be used.

Another product is a complete workstation giving any chemist a wide range of experimental possibilities with flow reactions.

2.  A modular, automated flow chemistry system enabling:

  • Rapid and efficient reaction optimisation on a micro gram scale with online HPLC analysis
  • Microwave style reaction rate increases by super heating solvents e.g. dichloromethane at 100°C or 1.4-dioxane at 180°C
  • Synthesis of up to 50g overnight
  • Reproducible, high quality diffusion mixing and heat transfer
  • Excellent chemical resistance

Flow Chemistry is emerging as a new and productive technology for R&D chemists.  It offers the chemist a new tool to speed discovery and development.

The range of products consists of many different module types, which can be combined to generate systems of different functionality, size and cost.

These modules include
