Company Germany

A novel patented method enables the coating of surfaces with thin and ultrathin layers of thicknesses from 1 nanometer. This method opens completely new possibilities for a multipicity of coating applications.

Surfaces that Can Be Coated:

  • Metals (e.g., aluminum, iron, titanium, chromium, nickel, copper, silver, gold)
  • Metal alloys (e.g., steel)
  • Glasses (e.g., microscopy glasses, window glasses)
  • Silicon wafers
  • Ceramics (e.g., silicate ceramics, oxide ceramics, brick, clay, glass ceramics)
  • Rock (e.g., sand stone, marble)
  • Artificial stone (e.g., concrete)
  • Wood (e.g., maple, oak, poplar)
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Textiles (e.g., cotton, viscose, silk)
  • Plastics

Coating Materials that Can Be Used:

  • High-molecular-weight silicon compounds (e.g., polysiloxanes, polysilanes, polysilazanes, copolymers)
  • Low-molecular-weight silicon compounds
  • High- and low-molecular-weight tin compounds
  • High- and low-molecular-weight germanium compounds

Preparation Methods that Can Be Applied:

  • spraying
  • brushing
  • immersing

Applications that the Coatings Can Be Used for:

  • Adhesion promoter and adhesive layers
  • Protective layers (e.g., against UV, corrosion, diffusion, micro organisms, dirt)
  • Lubricating layers
  • Anti-adhesive und anti-graffiti layers
  • Biocompatibility layers
  • nanostructured layers
