The company produce nanoscale powders and nanoscale powder-derived products manufactured through patented processes. Products include:

The company have demonstrated the capability to modify the following characteristics of nanoscale powders:

• Size and size distribution

• Morphology (shape, aspect ratio, facet, etc.)

• Surface characteristics (composition, chemical potential, activity, zeta potential)

• Surface functionalization

• Phase (lattice structures such as cubic, tetragonal, monoclinic, hexagonal, alpha, delta, gamma, etc.)

• Stoichiometry and lattice-level dopant mixing

They have developed and are currently qualifying nanoscale powders and products with innovation-driven companies in various markets such as coatings, functional additives for plastics and polymers, composites, information technology materials, photonics, electronic materials, catalysts and energy materials, pigments, personal care ingredients, biotech and medical materials.

Nanoparticle Dispersions

Nanoparticles provide many potential technological advantages over traditional products, but present some challenges as well. Nanoscale powders exhibit properties such as high surface area and high surface energy, which can cause the particles to agglomerate. Agglomeration significantly limits the usefulness of nanoparticles in many commercial applications, and agglomerated nanoparticles are frequently difficult to disperse in liquids or solid matrices. Nanoscale powders can also be challenging to work with due to the fact that it has not yet been determined what effects, if any, nanoparticles will have on the environment, health, and safety.

The company develops and supplies custom dispersions that provide distinct advantages in eliminating some of these concerns for customers. The dispersion technology enables the company to offer materials that are significantly de-agglomerated and ready to use. In addition, dispersed nanoparticles are easy to handle and virtually eliminate safety concerns surrounding free or airborne particles.

The company have developed substantial expertise in formulating dispersions of our single and mixed metal powders in water and organic solvents.
