[nanoPost] Films for food packaging

The groups studies started some years ago in collaboration with Metalpack s.p.a, a company involved in metallizied film for packaging, with the purpose of enhancing the barrier properties of  the film for food packaging; several studies have been made in the following years studying several solutions, technologies and developing collaborations .

More recently, the group have been working on hybrid organic inorganic nanocomposite coating via sol gel chemistry for the realization of barrier layers; in particular they focus on the use of atmospheric plasma deposition system for the improvement of the properties and for industrial applicability.
