The main function is as rheological additives, polymerisation catalysts and stabilisers.  They are used in inks, colours, pigments, personal care products, polymers and flame retardants.

Grade MP is used as a rheological additive and grade RD as a Polymerisation catalyst and PVC stabilisers. The plant has been operational for nearly 7 years and some products are in currently in a testing stage. The main markets targeted by the company are plastics such as PVC, PET and PMMA.

The polymer nanocomposite market is within the construction and consumer goods area. A source within the company commented that their main markets are Europe and Asia, and that the company is expecting to take production up to 10,000 tonnes in the next 10 years.
