[nanoPost] Nanosilver catalysts for wastewater treatment

The company is commercialising nano-silver catalysts for formaldehyde production and a new waste water treatment.

Their patented silver catalyst uses modified electrochemical technology to gain optimal performance in the production of formaldehyde. The process uses only 20-60 per cent of the equivalent mass of conventional silver catalysts normally used in the manufacturing process, and achieves up to 15 per cent greater production efficiency.
The water treatment product removes up to 99 per cent of ammonia present in a range of contaminated waterways. The ammonium-rich solution that remains is recovered and can be used as a fertiliser. No other waste products are created.
