[nanoPost] Photocatalytic protective anti-fouling coatings

Surface modification with protective anti-fouling coatings, based on the photo-catalytic behaviour of nano-anatase:

1) Nano-engineering of micro-alloyed anatase surface coating;

2) Alloying is to monitor the band-gap of the materials so as to be able to make use of the major part of sun-light in addition to UV;

3) Ab initio density functional theory to be used for searching alloying elements for task 2).

The same strategy can be used to explore the used of doped anatase nanoparticles for textiles.
