Microfluidics for bubble release

In the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences there is an active research area concerned with microfluidics for making:

a) Monodisperse particles (including core/shell and hollow),

b) Colloidisomes, particle stabilized droplets with controllable permeability

c) Multiple emulsions made with a high degree of control, such as one droplet in a droplet, for encapsulation

d) "Armored" bubbles, colloidal/particle stabilized bubbles
