The company has developed a device that can produced droplets in fluids on a continuous basis. Squeezing oil through a filter produces oil rods. Flushing water along the filter lops off the upper part of the rod and creastes droplets. The company has perfected this process with a new patented technique that controls the form and composition of the droplets.

Customers can decide on the droplet size and produce double emulsions. They can fill oil droplets with water in order to reduce the fat content in food, or with healthy but unpalatable substances that are only released in the stomach. As well as the food industry, the technique may also have application in the cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries.
