Company Sweden

We have experience working with a variety of bacteria (Bacillus, Escherichia, Listeria, Campylobacter, Clostridum), yeast and moulds. The main areas of expertise is microbiological risk assessment including prevalence studies, bacterial contamination routes, risk identification, bacterial adhesion, establishment, survival and growth, and modelling of bacterial response. At present we are focusing the adhesion properties and biofilm formation of Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogenic bacteria frequently found as an in-house flora in food processing plants. The technologies of interest are analysis of survival on surfaces, model system for biofilm formation, identification of microbial communities, evaluation of gene activity relevant in colonisation and adhesion to surfaces, and probability modelling.
We also perform consultant work evaluating antimicrobial activity of surfaces and microbial survival on many types of surfaces such as hands, floor material, stainless steel and bananas.
Stage of commercialization: R&D.
